Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm Welcome to Pilpintuwasi Butterfly Farm and Amazon Animal Orphanage in Iquitos, Peru.

In addition to fulfilling their dream of breeding butterflies — one of the world's most beautiful creatures — Gudrun Sperrer and Roblar Moreno have been designated by the Peruvian government as a "Centre of Custody" for rescued wild animals.

This small non-profit is in need of financial support to feed abandoned and orphaned wild animals. Please click on the arrow to find out how you can help. The arrow will take you to details.

Arrow. Please follow the arrow to news and photos, including images of an adorable red hucary, and the story of the monkey's getting into the butterfly cage, and please read the cautionary note to tourists about wild animals for sale.

(Note: This site is a bit difficult to navigate because it covers two quite different projects managed by Gudrun and Roblar. Some of the pages interlink, and some do not. )
